Meet the Puppies

Hey Everybody,

The puppies and Valery are doing great!! 

These are the collars the puppies will wear until they go home. 

You will see Ms. Green is literally a green puppy. No, she will not stay green forever :)

Here is an explanation as to why her coat is green (we have had this with puppies before and by week 5 the color is gone):

The green fur comes from a bile pigment called biliverdin, which is found in the placenta of dogs.

Biliverdin dislodges as the puppy is born, and mixes with the amniotic fluid.

Amniotic fluid is what surrounds the puppies in their mother’s womb, and when biliverdin mixes in, it can stain the puppy’s coat. The green hair will grow out and it will go back to normal.

Apart from its odd colored coat for a few weeks,  the puppy is perfectly normal.

Here are the color collars and weight of the puppies today (12/15/19)

Mr. Black- 1.8 lbs

Mr. Brown- 1.4 lbs

Ms. Green- 1.0 lbs

Ms. White- 1.2 lbs

Ms. Purple- 1.4 lbs

Ms. Yellow- 1.4 lbs

Ms. Orange- 1.4 lbs

Ms. Blue- 1.4 lbs

Ms. Gray- 1.6 lbs

Puppies are here!!!

Hey Everybody!

The puppies are here. Valery did great and is such a good momma. 

We have a total of 9 puppies :)

There are 7 girls and 2 boys

Everyone is nursing and Valery is taking very good care of them. 

Your puppies birthday is December 11th

Here are a few pictures I managed to get. 

We will have our week 1 video towards the end of next week. 

I will post more pictures in a few days (right now we are letting all the pups get use to nursing and having snuggle time with Valery)

In labor

Valery is in labor and doing great!!! 

Right now our focus is on momma and the babies

Hey Everybody,

Just wanted to give a quick update. We are "patiently" waiting on Valery to go into labor. She is still her sweet loving self....just a little wider :)

I will post on here once the puppies are born so make sure to check back...it should be any day now.

X-ray

Hey Everybody!!

We went for Valery’s x-Ray today and everything looks great! We weren’t able to get a great video of the puppies but we are guessing around 7-8 puppies. Below is a picture.
